If You Defend Crooks, Don’t Complain About the Country

Reflecting on the Philippine elections and corrupt systems, this essay points to the only true hope: the Kingdom of God.

We are surrounded by broken systems.

Corruption is normal. Injustice is expected. And still — every election cycle — people line up hoping a new name will fix what only God can restore.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
Proverbs 29:2 (NKJV)

Groaning is exactly what we’ve been doing.

Why? Because our leaders reflect our tolerance. We excuse lies. We applaud arrogance. We defend crooks — then wonder why the nation suffers.

But here’s the truth that almost no one is saying:

No human leader can save us.

Not the next mayor. Not the next president. Not even the best of them.

The only lasting solution is the return of Jesus Christ (Yahshua the Messiah) — to establish the Kingdom of God on this earth.

A government with no corruption. No bribes. No deception. Just righteousness, justice, and peace for all nations.

Until then, every human government will fail in some way.

But that doesn’t mean we stay silent. We must speak the truth, uphold God’s standards, and refuse to defend evil — no matter who’s in charge.

Because when Christ returns, He won’t be asking if or how we voted. He’ll be looking for those who stood for His Kingdom — now.

Don’t just groan under corrupt leadership.
Look up.
Speak truth.
Prepare the way.
The real King is coming.
